Cocksfoot (Dactylis glomerata) is very suitable for pastures on dry soil types. Field emergency and development are rather slow. When used correctly, cocksfoot is a productive source of cattle feed. It should be grazed at a young stage when the vegetation is still palatable. Cocksfoot tolerates cutting well and can give huge yields. We only have soft leaved varieties in our portfolio which are more palatable than the conventional, hard-leaved varieties.
