Phacelia (Phacelia tanacetifolia) is a fast-growing cover crop that is not related to other cover or cash crops. Phacelia germinates in dry conditions, is very sensitive to night frost and can therefore be incorporated easily in spring. Weeds are suppressed well by the crop and it is neutral towards nematodes. Phacelia produces an abundance of purple flowers, making it  highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. We have developed our own variety through breeding: Factotum.
